How We Work
We seek to ‘model change’ both through our forward-looking science and how we work.
Computational Ecology Group Inc. is a non-profit organization that develops practical ecological science and modeling tools. We share these resources with communities and decision-makers to support the use of science in managing and conserving ecological systems.
Defensible and Rigorous
We value science
CEG develops independent scientific research tools and products. We often publish results in science journals and share models and code.
CEG works with a range of communities and organizations from around the globe, including government agencies, non-governmental organizations, environmental practitioners, indigenous groups, and academics.
We value collaboration
Cooperation to Co-production
At CEG, we believe that strong collaborations are essential to achieving project goals. We support our partners by delivering science and information products that are responsive to their needs, and in formats that can be put into action.
We develop and release a range of information resources including summary reports, science publications, spatial datasets, apps and tools, models and code, visualizations and dashboards.
Creating Models for Change
We value innovation
Environmental challenges are complex. To crack tough problems, we need new ideas, methods, models, and ways of working together. CEG brings a passion for creating new computational models and products that can change how we see and shape ecological systems.
